Hearken back with me to a period of early American history, to a time when the only entertainment available was what you & your friends created for yourselves. Banjos, fiddles, guitars, even a simple pennywhistle, could become a focal point for an atmosphere of fun & relaxation. The Mo' Bedda Band does not normally exist as a separate entity, it is a compilation of music performed by musicians who are active participants in living history events. The Mo' Bedda Band has played together in the same place, at the same time. Normally, however, the musicians move about the camps after dark, stopping to play a few tunes, at this campfire or that, in an ever changing combination. We thought it would be an interesting challenge to try & record some of these. This has the potential to be an ongoing project for some time to come, as the schedules of the participants allow. Featuring Banjo, Fiddle, Guitar, Mandolin & just about every "Period Correct" instrument you can think of! Songs include Lonesome Fiddle Blues, Dusty Miller, Arkansas Traveler, Old Joe Clark & many more!
